Harris & Harris employees were proud to participate in the American Cancer Society’s “Walk & Roll
2011” fundraiser. Walk & Roll is Illinois’s longest-running cancer fundraiser, and 2011 marked the
40th year ACS has sponsored the event.
The event was held May 15, 2011. Team Harris & Harris was among the thousands of Chicagoland
residents who walked, skated, and biked along Chicago’s lakefront and popular downtown areas. It
was a bonding event for the participants, as they walked in support and braved the rough weather.
Harris & Harris teammates wore t-shirts provided by the company, and enjoyed a companysponsored
picnic after the walk to celebrate.
Harris & Harris was one of the top 10 corporate contributors this year and received an award in
honor of their contribution. All donations benefited The American Cancer Society, which uses
the funds to further their goal of eliminating cancer as a major health problem through research,
education, advocacy and service.
