Will County is one of the collar counties of Illinois surrounding the Joliet area, and has been one of Harris & Harris’ clients for many years. We have had the opportunity to partner with Will County on many initiatives and events , one of them being the Take Back the Night event.
The mission of Take Back the Night offers an opportunity for survivors of abuse to join with others of all races, cultures, backgrounds, and experiences to combine the strength of their voices to declare an end to violence. Each year, the event includes a speaker, a candlelight vigil to memorialize victims, a brief march, and information tables from organizations involved in helping violence survivors. Will County has been hosting this annual fundraiser and event for over 20 years!
Harris & Harris has been fortunate enough to participate in the event over the past few years. We participated in the annual event again this year, also as a Platnium sponsor. While Harris & Harris participates in various philanthropic endeavors every year, events like this are why we continue to contribute; to provide additional funds and awareness for those in need.
